About Me
After being discharged from the US Army in 2005, it was natural to use the GI Bill, earning a degree in business and a master's in history. The journey into digitization began during work on the master's thesis, to include creating an online exhibit. This exhibit displayed not just letters my great-grandfather sent home to his wife and daughter but also told the story of his service during World War II. The work included scanning, digitally cataloguing, and transcribing letters and photographs. Time was spent as well as in-depth research through unit records and other materials from the National Archives.
After graduation, it occurred to me that others could be facing similar challenges. All those dusty boxes of letters and photographs that could tell a story if someone could put the pieces together. Every story counts to someone.
What Sets These Services Apart
Veteran-Owned & Operated: My service gives me the ability to understand service records, unit histories, and a greater appreciation for the service of others.
Professional Standards: The same standards used when handling museum artifacts are brought to every project, including proper handling protocols and archival-quality preservation.
Comprehensive Research Skills: The work goes beyond digitization to investigation. Work can include tracing unit histories, identifying battles and campaigns, verifying medals and commendations, or building timelines of military service.
